		<description>&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/17873/1474526/scope_900.jpg" border="0" width="900" height="675" width_o="1024" height_o="768" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/17873/1474526/scope_o.jpg" align="left" /&#62;

Based on the survey conducted amongst last year's participants , feedback from the process of the workshop , our ongoing research agendas, evolving content etc, we intend to make the following key changes / improvements to the content.

Fabrication : We envision a larger budget for the fabrication proposal - human scale proto-type with scalable and locally relevant fabrication methods. Last year, we were testing the waters with respect sourcing of material, enabling a mix of labor intensive and digital modes of procduction etc. Consequent from its sucess within a short period of 3 days and our endeavours in other workshops , we feel confident to tackle a design-build exercise at a larger scale.

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/17873/1474526/PA230638_900.JPG" border="0" width="900" height="675" width_o="2048" height_o="1536" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/17873/1474526/PA230638_o.JPG" align="left" /&#62;

Pipeline : 3d , 2d and the whole world in between.

Growth in the role of simulation in conceptual design and evaluation of building performance is
coupled with need for architects to manage the dichotomy between high resolution geometries
used in simulation and lower resolution, free-form manipulation friendly geometries. Further, downstream-architectural production relies on ever-increasingly precise geometric description of CAD geometries.

The workshops will introduce participants to the nature conflicting goals and methods to deal with them. Understanding and pursuing the resolution of these will be fundamental towards applying such technologies within labour –intensive and emerging economies such as India.

It is our belief that there is enormous potential and relevance to pursue a research-based teaching / learning practise that aims to integrate diverse pools of knowledge and forces that are shaping contemporary Indian architectural landscape :

From emerging young talented office in India such as Serie , Sp-arc.net , studio symbiosis etc to the historic built traditions of dome and vault building in India and similar cultures and the legacy of similar pursuits in emerging , labour intensive economies by Felix Candela , Eladio Dieste et al including the enormous resource of built works of masters such as Antonio Gaudi , Frei otto, Sarinen , Heinz Isler etc in synergy with the youthful zest of India’s current demographic. This will be amply illustrated in the images below.
